Jon Peel posted a condolence

So sad to hear the sad news about Jerry. She and Steve were the Chillbillies band greatest fans and travelled over to the UK to see us whenever they could. Jerry was our harshest but most loved critic. We had so many laughs together and all of us will miss her wonderful presence and humour. Gone but never forgotten. Off to heaven but I’m sure Jerry will give ’em hell up there. Sincerest condolences and sympathy to Steve and all the family. Much love from Jon Peel and the Chillbillies.

My husband Bruce remembers the story of when Jerry and Linda took him to their grammar school class as their "show and tell" object. What a great story that shows her sense of humor even as a kid! - Loved the stories everyone shared today - she definitely made an impact in this world and left loving memories in everyone's hearts. Our deepest sympathies Steve. Julie and Bruce Oskerka

Nancy Zschach It is with a sad heart I write that my oldest and dearest friend has passed away. We have been friends and kindred spirits for 75 years since we were 3 years old. During those years we have shared many memories together. Some too many to list here, but a few stand out: graduating high school, having the honor of standing up in her wedding party, being asked to be a God parent to her first born as she was asked for my son. Those years went by so quickly but we always managed to keep in touch via letters, phone calls and an occasional in person visit. I now live in the state of Wisconsin and we always remembered our birthdays, anniversaries and holidays even though we were miles apart. It seems that we could pick up our conversations with no loss of time since our last contact. We are reminded that her suffering has ended and faith teaches us that she is now in a better place. I remember her fondly and will keep her in my daily prayers. May our God ease the pain for her family helping them to dwell on the many happy moments she has brought to do many. My dear friend I will miss you with my whole heart.

In memory of Jerry Harper We have known and loved Jerry for over 50 years when we became friends in Huntington Beach, CA. Special memories are Dodger World Series with the boys, sending any new Starbucks cards from vacation spots, lemon drops, politics, the Broad Museum and tons of phone calls. You are in our hearts now and forever. We will always love you.

Our QFC "Queen" will be in my heart for ever. She warmly welcomed me "what the hell is a name like Ki" when I transfered to that store from mukeltio 11 years ago. A strong women who spoke her mind.. sometimes very colorfully. She became the candy lady stocking candy on load days and sometimes forgetting that her actual job was a bagger. She became a good friend and I miss her. Rest in Peace my friend❤️
