Jim Boone - Husband, dad, son, brother, uncle, grandfather, father-in-law, and friend • He was an athlete, softball player, bowler, coach - confident in his abilities • He was old school Seattle…slot cars, hydroplane races, the pits, Seattle Totems, Seattle Pilots, Seattle Rainers, Seattle Angels, SuperSonics, Ford truck, motorcycle, machinist, long time union member, raised in Ballard • Loved to walk, Green Lake, Edmonds, knowledgeable about ferries, trains, photography, stars/constellations, kaleidoscopes, 4th of July cannon, hiking • Intelligent, curious, opinionated, interesting and interested • Dick’s Drive-In • Jake and Myrtle Boone • Jim could fix your car…and would • Comfortable with himself • Self-reliant • Self sufficient • He could cook! • Super Bowl betting pools • Couldn’t swim…raised in Ballard and never learned to swim! • Loved his kids • Loved Deanna – They were a good match…Certainly very different from one another but both love to laugh and tease. Together they raised an amazing family with each of the kids having different strengths but all being successful and following their own path. • Solid, dependable, loyal • Tough, old-school • He could build anything, fix anything • Jim knew “stuff” Not many men like Jim. Gonna miss him.

Jim was my favorite Uncle, he took me to my first major league baseball game, took me for my first motorcycle ride, and every time we visited, he always made sure my brother and I had the very best time ever. My cousins loved him, my aunt loved him, and our entire family loved him, my mom and him were incredibly close and I hope they are able to see each other again. I will miss you Uncle, and though we did not see each other often, you always made it memorable when we did hang out. Rest in Paradise.

Jim was my brother. We enjoyed sports together, Seattle Rainiers Baseball, Totems Hockey, and especially Unlimited Hydroplane races. Jim was so creative and talented He could build anything! A memorial donation, in his name, has been made to the Hydroplane Raceboat museum in Kent. Will miss you brother!

Jim was a dear friend of mine. I've known him for over 40 years. We built cannons and telescopes together. We worked together for many of those years. Jim was very much a family man. He talked alot about his family, and taking them to carkeek park and watch the trains. You will be missed my friend.
