Obituary of Page K Gorud

Page was born Nov. 30, 1939, in Portland, Oregon, to Herbert Winfree and Mary Ellen Page. She grew up there with her two younger brothers, attended Lincoln HS and then on to Whitman College. There, she pledged Kappa Kappa Gamma and met her future husband, Clay Kuhn. They married in Portland in June of 1962 and embarked on an adventure taking them through San Francisco, Phoenix, and finally to Seattle, where they stayed and raised two daughters. Clay was an Episcopalian Reverend for churches in the Diocese of Olympia; Page worked as a Med Tech in hospitals in and around Seattle. Upon Clay’s passing in 1987, she bought and loved a little house in Wedgewood that she shared with her cat Timothy. She met her husband Roy Gorud, and they married in May 2001, surrounded by family. They spent the next 20 wonderful years traveling, including many family vacations in Sunriver, volunteering for many wonderful causes dear to them, and loving life in their town of Edmonds. She was a brilliant cook. She loved gardening, British TV, and reading. Page listened to classical music, and she sang in choirs. She was blessed with many amazing friends, including her book club, ‘Ladies Hiking Society,’ KKG sorority sisters, and neighbors. She so loved her family. She was survived by her husband Roy and her brothers Andy and Bill. Her daughters Lisa and Shannon, their husbands Scott and Mike. Her step-daughters Kristi and Kara, and their husbands Ken and Sean. Her grandchildren Rachel, Andrew, Katie, Kyle, Elyse, Kari, and Nathan. Her brother and sister-in-law Rik and Carolyn Kuhn. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Clay, his parents Rosalie and William and Ernie. She truly brought beauty to everything she touched. We who had her in our lives are profoundly blessed. In lieu of flowers, please donations to Evergreen Hospice.
