Obituary of Linda D. Lewis-May

Linda was born in Springfield, Ill. on Sept. 19, 1947. During a trip to Europe, she suddenly passed away on Oct. 4, 2008, in Ohlstadt, Germany. When she was about three the family moved to Spokane, WA. Upon graduating from high school in 1965, she attended and graduated from Esthers Beauty school and took her first position in a beauty shop in Pullman, WA. In 1968 she returned to Spokane where her daughter, Natalie was born. After moving to Seattle, Linda continued her career in the beauty industry at such places as, the Bon Marche and Frederick Nelson. After the closure of Frederick Nelson, Linda became self-employed and most recently worked through Body Boutique in Kirkland. Linda met and married her first husband, Vern Lewis, who died unexpectedly after only four short months. Later in life, Linda met and married John May in 2003 in Port Townsend, WA and made their home in Kenmore, WA. She is survived by her husband, John May, her daughter, Natalie (Brian) Drake, and grandson, Thomas Drake; as well as her mother, Betty Allison Birr, sisters, Judy (Larry) Bell, Sally (Sam) Denton; her nephews, Jeff Johnson, Darrin Johnson and Tommy Guatney. A Memorial service was held at 2 p.m. on Sat., Oct. 25, at Becks Funeral Home, 405 Fifth Ave. S in Edmonds, (425) 771-1234.
