Obituary of Kathleen Anne Drake

Kathy passed away unexpectedly August 20, 2022 in Redmond, Washington.  Kathy was born September 16, 1960 to Edward and Regina Drake in Chicago, Illinois. Kathy was preceded in death by Regina and her step-mother Nancy.

Kathy was a loving mother to her son Morgan Otonicar who passed in 2007.  She greatly grieved the loss of her only child and never fully regained her joy for life.  Despite this, Kathy provided compassionate care for her step-mother Nancy in the years before Nancy passed and has cared for her father through the loss of his wife and as he has battled health issues.

During the last year of Kathy’s life, she bravely fought breast cancer and was thankful for the outstanding care she received at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance.

Kathy will be remembered for her beautiful sense of style, tenderness with children and animals and the incredible meals she prepared for the family.

Kathy is survived by her father, Edward; sisters Jo-Ellyn and Jenifer and step-siblings Heather, Geoff and Wendy. Please keep Kathy in your prayers.
