To my favorite auntie, I love how your door was always open, welcoming. I loved to visit whenever I found myself in Seattle. I’ll always remember your laugh and how your eyes would always sparkle when you did laugh. A visit was always best topped off with one of your egg salad sandwiches. You made the best. I will never forget you.

Even though I hadn't seen Aunt Doris in many years, I thought of her often and remember her joyous spirit. She always had a twinkle in her eyes when she laughed. There was a Thanksgiving dinner that I remember with the whole crew of cousins when we were all just kids. It seemed like a mad house but Doris managed to pull off the perfect holiday dinner. I will remember her with fondness and love.
