A few things from my Dad...One must have been procrastination if it took me this long to write this. Your welcome pop! Sharing the love of music. Long car rides and road trips. Music was always something we loved together. Finding new music was always the best drug. I know from all the things we have in common, I will always be a Heely. We are jacks of all trades and masters of none. Never afraid to take on a challenge. My father never set out to hurt me. Though, he did take the right opportunities to embarrass me as a child as I did as a father to my son. It doesn't matter how old we get, it still brings joy to please your parent. He was proud of so many things and it will always mean a lot. I will still know the things I do that he would be proud of. Always wondering if he is still watching. In dads last words, he said to me to always tell lots of stories. That meant to me that he was proud of the life he lived and the people he touched. There were so many things between us that went without words. Given that, I don't feel without a father. I will always have those foundations to carry me through my life. Always wondering if he is still watching. I love you Dad. Thank you for being you for all the years we shared. Until we meet again.

As a financial professional, I got to know Chad through giving financial advice. As the years passed we would often spend more time talking about the army of squirrels he fed than actual financial business. His humor and loving nature was felt in every meeting and in every phone call. During the pandemic, he and Susan once showed up to a Zoom meeting wearing their masks just to make me laugh. I was so caught off guard that I barely recognized it as a joke which made it even funnier. I spend a lot of time planning with and affirming my clients but Chad never missed an opportunity to turn the affirmation back to me. This is remarkable in my profession and speaks much more to his character than mine. Above all else, he wanted to make sure Susan was taken care of. I think about Chad often and I miss him very much.

FAREWELL my friend. We had a long friendship. I will remember your jokes and our political discussions. It was an honor to have been your friend. John

The well of love in Chad’s heart was very deep. I was blessed for so many years to be the recipient of his love, encouragement and continuous affirmations. He really was a brother to me and I will always miss him.
