I have no words to express my sorrow let alone yours for the loss of our dear Dar. I have spent years traveling to the north to share stories and great meals with all the family. Darlene, aunt Lavaina, Grandma (Aunt Anna), and me would plan our attack. So many stories, so much to plan, so much to do and so little time. Darlene and I had a lot in common as the years went by and I took care of Grandma and Darlene took care of Aunt Lavaina. We compared our journey and shared our experiences. What worked and what didn't. When Grandma passed away Darlene and Aunt Lavaina were my constant. They stood by me, they loved me, they cried with me, they shared stories with me and above all they loved Rex, Grandma's little dog, and held us tight. They came down for the holidays, I went up for our gatherings. Together we had it all! When Aunt Lavaina passed, the grief was unbearable for us all but especially hard for Dar. We continued to make plans and fight the fight. Covid set in and it slowed us down. The phone was the best way to stay in touch as we planned what we would do after the lockdown. We spoke on the phone 1 week prior to her fall planning our next get together. I feel lost without those plans and without my cousin, my friend Dar. I love you Dar ! I am so happy that you are with your family now and having one big party but so sad without you here. The light will continue to shine with all the sparkle that you provided us. My love and prayers for you Ryan and family as you navigate through such a horrible loss.
