Obituary of Anne Kathreen Azarraga Perez

Kathreen "Katkat" Perez, a talented and loving soul, passed away suddenly at the age of 23. She will be forever remembered and cherished by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched with her warmth and grace.

Katkat was born on July 16, 1999, in Manila, Philippines to Joey and Jocelyn. A bright light from the beginning, she grew into an independent and vibrant young woman with a deep love of music, sports, and art.

Katkat had a unique talent for singing and playing both the guitar and keyboard. Her love for music was evident to all who knew her, and she had the ability to make any song her own. She poured her heart into every one of her performances, wanting nothing more than to share her passion and to spread happiness to others in those moments.

In addition to her musical talents, Katkat was a dedicated and skilled athlete. During her senior year of high school, her determination earned her the title of varsity captain, leading her team to numerous victories and joyful memories.

Lastly, Katkat was a supportive, compassionate, and thoughtful individual who put the needs of others ahead of her own. Through her own struggles, she developed an intuition for the struggles of others and never hesitated to help carry their burdens when called upon. Her desire to see others smile and the positivity she exuded will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

Katkat is survived by her loving parents, Joey and Jocelyn Perez, her devoted siblings, Daniel and Josh, and numerous extended family members and friends who will cherish her memory always.

A celebration of Katkat's life will be held on Thursday, May 4, at 9:30 am at Beck's Tribute Center in Edmonds.
