Howard Hayden

Obituary of Howard Michael Hayden

After an education he truly valued at Cal and the UW, Howard taught for 30 years in Seattle at Chief Sealth, Cleveland and Ingraham High Schools. He leaves behind a niece and nephew in California and many special friends who knew him first as 'Mr. Hayden,' and valued him as a caring father figure. A Christian from his youth, he loved God, 'kids,' the outdoors, and .... fly fishing! Knowing that being around young people, 'full of life and energy!' was his calling, he moved on from teaching to varied roles in BSA at Troops in Seattle and Edmonds.

He was grateful for the care he received with Providence Hospice and at Elsa Grace Adult Family home during his last months. A celebration of life is planned for 7:00 May 24 at St Alban's Episcopal, a reception preceding the service at 5:30 p.m.
