Obituary of Tom H. Foulds

Tom H. Foulds, Seattle attorney, passed away November 14, 2021 in Edmonds, WA. He was born July 23, 1924 to Clyde Hickman Foulds and Grace Henniger Hargis in Chicago IL. He grew up in Shaker Heights, OH, and graduated from Shaker Heights High School in 1942. After a year at Case University, he enlisted in the Army. He fought with the 87th Infantry Division in the Battle of the Bulge. He was the last survivor of twelve of the 345th Regiment's Hq2 Tiger Patrol. Like so many, he never spoke of his heavy combat until rejoining his comrades at his first veterans' reunion in 2007. It was a happy occasion all round. After WWll, Tom graduated from Washburn University, J.D. He was a practicing member of the Washington State bar for 48 years. He is remembered for his Hanford Litigation Office's dedication in representing the downwind victims of radioactive fallout. In 2016, he received the Gerhard Letzing Public Justice Award from the Washington State Association of Justice. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters Barbara Brandt and Marjorie Jane Hartland. He is survived by his sister Carol Goss; daughters Eileen (Raul) Vidalon, Linda Safarli; son Nicholas Foulds; five grandsons and extended family in Ohio, Florida, and California. Remembrances are suggested to Washington Physicians for Social Responsibility, Seattle Humane Society, Kiwanis of Mukilteo, or an organization of your choice.
