Obituary of Doris Helen Blackburn

Doris H. Blackburn (Pearson)Our dearly loved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, went to be with the Lord on December 21, 2008. She was a lovely woman of deep Christian faith. She loved people and they in turn loved her. Such a caring woman, those who met her even casually, were touched by her graciousness. Doris was a retired Mukilteo elementary school secretary, where she made such a positive impact on so many little lives due to her genuine love for all children. She was our angel on earth, but heaven must have needed her more. She is now one of Gods angels. Doris is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Bill Blackburn, her daughter Susan Blackburn, son Mike Blackburn (Cheryl), Granddaughter Katie Divito (Darrin), Grandson Scott Blackburn, four sisters, brother in-laws, a brother, sister-in-laws, numerous family members and many friends. In lieu of flowers, we feel strongly that it is more appropriate that memorials be made to Stevens Hospital ICU. Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to those doctors, nurses and aides who took such great care of Doris. We were touched by their compassion and will always be grateful for their care.A celebration of her beautiful life will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 6215 196th St SW in Lynnwood, WA at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 3, 2009.
