Obituary of Marian Carmen Valenzuela

Marian Carmen Valenzuela of Edmonds passed away on December 8, 2008 following a courageous battle with Cancer. Marian was born in Santa Barbara, California on November 30, 1931, and moved to Edmonds, Washington during the late sixties with her immediate family and her husband Al Valenzuela. Marian graduated from Hygienist School with her sister Laverne in San Francisco, CA. During her 40 years in Edmonds she attended Holy Rosary Church and was actively involved with church, womens bible study and at the local downtown Edmonds Schools. She dedicated much of her interests and hobbies to her artistic abilities that allowed her to create floral arrangements, ink drawings, paintings and custom hand beaded wedding veils. Marian and Al had four children, Ron Valenzuela married to Kim and their daughter Sarah (Edmonds), Roxane married to Ken Kyte and their children Laurelle, Theresa and Hillary, Brittany and Sam Dishner (Scottsdale, AZ), Paul Valenzuela married to Cathy and their children Victoria and Zach (Edmonds), and Paula and her husband Doug Reuble with their daughters Alyssa and Julia (Edmonds).She is survived by her husband, children, and grandchildren, sisters Laverne (Keith) Welch (Mukilteo) and Betty Clark (Redding, CA), along with her brothers Lawrence (Susan) Gradias (Prescott, AZ), Ron Gradias (Prescott, AZ), Frank (Vi) Gradias (Seattle) and Clifford (Ernie) Martin (Greenville, TX). Marian was a loving and dedicated wife for 54 years of marriage, a wonde and encouraging mother for 52 years, and a faithful and loving servant of the Lord. (Psalm 23: The Lord Is My Shepherd)A Memorial Mass will be at 11:00 am, Monday, December 29 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 630 7th Ave. N, Edmonds.
