Obituary of Magnus Landro

Our beloved husband, father, grandfather (Far Far), great grandfather, Magnus Landro, age 78 of Everett, WA entered into his heavenly home on January 12, 2009. Magnus was born on July 6, 1930 in Landro, Sotra, Norway and moved to the United States in 1960. Magnus was actively involved in the local Norwegian community, Sons of Norway, and the Karmy Club.Magnus leaves behind his loving wife, Janna, of 53 years; four sons and their wives; Jonny (Denise), Paul (Donita), Glenn (Lisa), and Steve (Karen); seven grandchildren, Erik, Colin, Caroline, Meaghan, Georg Magnus, Hanne, Danielle; one great grandchild, Kari.Preceded in death by his parents Nils and Jenny Paulsen along with brothers and sisters Paul (died in infancy), Paul, Petra, and Randi. Funeral services will be held 12:00 pm, Saturday, January 17 at Maple Park Lutheran Church, 17620 60th Ave W, Lynnwood, WA 98037. Graveside service will follow at Floral Hills Cemetery, 409 Filbert Road, Lynnwood. A celebration of Magnus life will be held at 3 pm at the Sons of Norway, 2725 Oakes Ave, Everett, WA 98201 immediately after graveside services. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Maple Park Lutheran Church or the Sons of Norway (Normanna Hall) in memory of Magnus Landro. A special thanks to Dr. Wong and Dr. Smith with the caring staff of Providence Everett Medical Center for their compassionate and excellent care.
