Obituary of Anne Edith Dugan

Anne E. Dugan of Edmonds passed away Sunday, May 10, 2009 at home; born in Portsmouth, England on December 11, 1933. She has two surviving brothers in England. Some of her early years were spent as an Evacuee away from her parents due to the war. Later came secret college, after which she worked as a personnel secretary. She was an avid cyclist, 25 miles races, and typically rode 50 miles at weekends with her club. After she came to America in 1966 she married Peter in 1967. Anne worked at a travel agency and then at EdmondsCommunity College in the Sports Department, where she kept the coaches under control. She was a beautiful swimmer and dancer. Anne fought cancer for 12-1/2 years, winning many battles but loosing the war on Sunday, May 10th. Peter and Annes family would like to pay tribute to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Puget Sound Cancer Clinic, especially Dr. Marc Rosenshein and his team; for their kind compassionate care over the 12-1/2 years of her battle. Anne lived her life to the maximum, she enjoyed traveling, was passionate about her flower garden, always laughing, always thinking of others, despite her situation. Now resting in peace; God Bless you may Darling, my deepest love forever, and ever, and ever Memorial donations may be given in Annes name to the American Cancer Society. A Celebration of Annes Life will be held at a later date.
