Obituary of Paul Samuel Hauck

Paul was born in rural South Dakota, near Aberdeen in 1925 to Thomas and Lucille Hauck. He had 9 siblings (6 girls and 3 boys). Until his entry into the US Army in 1944, Paul helped his father and mother with all the needs required to run an 800-acre farm. His military service stared in 1944 (WWII) in Japan, for two years, and then once he returned home, in the reserves, he was called up to serve our country again for the Korean War. During his service in Korea he was injured, receiving the Purple Heart medal. After returning from active service he started on his long career in the Electrical Service Business, working for companies in Aberdeen, and then in Seattle when the family moved there in 1966. Paul worked as an electrician (running many huge constructions jobs including the famed 75-story Columbia Tower) until his retirement in 1988.Paul married Pauline Weber, his best friend and love, on January 1, 1957 what a great beginning to a new year, and a new life. Within several years they had two children, Paulette and Paul.Paul and Pauline enjoyed camping, belonging to several travel trailer clubs throughout the years, sor events being seasons ticket holders to the first Seattle sounders club, traveling to Europe, Mexico and Hawaii, and in recent years traveling to Yuma, Arizona to while away the dreary winter months in the sun.
