I remember Marsha as being a delight to work with at the grad school--and she had some great stories about Forest Resources. One of my best memories of her was when she told be about Mike the Headless Chicken and the festival in Fruita, CO. She had the best sense of humor and was always smiling. I miss her and send my sympathy to her family.Warm regards,Michelle

I was one of the many graduate program coordinators on campus that had the immense good fortune to work with Marsha, and for many years. Not only was she efficient and cheerful in her work, but... I just loved her. Marsha and I got together several times just to have lunch, and I always enjoyed our conversations. She had told me at the onset of her diagnosis, and I am so sorry that the cancer has taken her. My empathy for her family, and I'm sending my love to her spirit as it departs.

I counted Marsha as a friend, enjoyed lunches with her, and the occasional visit she'd make to the Health Sciences when she volunteered for a prosthetics lab. We shared our stories about our Catholic priestly cousins, had to laugh at how similar our upbringings had been. I've been missing you, Dear Friend, waiting for you to come back and join the Grad School cohort.

I am saddened to hear about Marsha. When I did student counseling I relied heavily on Marsha as a dependable source of knowledge and timely assistance in the grad. school. It was always a happy delight to see her, as recently as a year ago when she came to visit me. My deep sympathies to her family, especially to Kirsten.

I too worked with Marsha at the University of Washington, and was deeply saddened when I found out today that she had passed away. I got to know her a bit better when my daughter house sat for her a couple times and found that my sister and Megan had gone to school together... what a small world. She will be deeply missed..

Marsha and I were friends for many years. I no longer remember if we met at the UW or riding bus #78. We shared many great conversations, laughter, experiences and going to Choir on the Sound. I will miss her deeply. My condolences to the family.

Marsha and I met when we both commuted on the 78 bus to and from the UW. She was such a cheerful, optimistic person, and always had great stories and experiences to share. I was always impressed with her practical, lets-do-it attitude, even in the face of serious health problems. She supported me through some tough times, too. I am so sad to hear of her passing. Megan and Kirsten, she always spoke so highly of you--my condolences to you and Aaron and Matthew.

We got to know Marsha when she was a member of ITC (International Training in Communication), a public speaking group. She maintained her membership until about two years ago. We remember fondly her coming to the meetings and the potlucks. Marsha's reading of Sam Magee was truly memorable! Every time she was there, you could tell by the twinkle in her eyes and her laugh that she enjoyed life. Marsha, thank you for all the times of being so supportive, helpful and fun.

Marsha and I met in junior high school and I have considered her one of my best friends ever since then. She was truly a remarkable and courageous person who faced many difficulties in her life with faith, grace and good humor. I will miss her greatly. Megan and Kirsten, I am so very sorry I missed the service on the 5th. I just learned about it online today. I send you my deepest sympathies and sincerest condolences for your loss. I will place Marsha very tenderly in my heart.
