Obituary of Faye Camille Mork

Faye Camille Mork (nee DeLap) was born on September 25, 1945 and went to be with our Lord Monday, July 20, 2009, age 63, after an eight month battle with cancer passing away at Prestige Health and Rehabilitation Center of Edmonds. Faye was a lifelong resident of Edmonds, Washington. She graduated from Lynnwood High School in 1963 and went on to attend beauty school where she became a licensed cosmetologist. She owned and operated beauty salons, first in Ballard and later in Edmonds (London Pride). On June 4, 1982, Faye became the beloved wife of H. Paul Mork. They enjoyed and loved one another while united in marriage and celebrated their 27th wedding anniversary in June 2009. On July 5, 1983, Faye gave birth to their only child, Angela Faye Mork. Shortly after, Faye sold her beauty salon to become a stay-at-home mother. When Angela began middle school, Faye went to Cosmetology College and became a licensed Cosmetology Instructor, however never taught. Instead, she retired from the hairdressing business and worked at the Wild Horse Bar and Grill in Richmond Beach as a waitress and cook for over 7 years. She then retired completely and enjoyed her favorite hobbies including gardening, shopping, and decorating her home. Faye was a caring, loving and generous woman with a sense of humor that made her a dear friend of many and lovingly remembered by all who knew her. She took pride in her home and family and was devoted to her loving husband and daughter. She was an inspiration of strength especially while going through intensive treatments of radiation and chemotherapy so bravely although it was unsussful at curing the cancer.Faye was preceded in death by her father, Floyd DeLap and is survived by her husband, H. Paul Mork, her daughter, Angela Faye Mork, her mother, Mary DeLap, brother David DeLap, brother Arden DeLap (Kathy), and sister Aurelle Erickson.There will be a viewing from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Friday, July 31, 2009 followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Becks Funeral Home, 405 5th Ave. S, Edmonds, Washington. After the service, last words will be said graveside at Restlawn Memorial Cemetery of Edmonds, with a recn at the Mork residence immediately following.She was an amazing mother, wife, sister, and friend and will be greatly missed, loved and remembered always.
