One of a kind thats for sure, and everyone loved him. I know how much you will miss him, who will deal with those moles? It isn't easy to go on without your spouse.Theres an empty space that will cant be filled. But your memories will go on forever & friends & family to support you. Love Nancy & Gene

When we first met Cecelia and Ivars nearly twenty years ago, Ivars referred to himself as Ridiculous Vikelis. I thought, "this is my kinda guy, poking fun at himself". Three things for which he had zero tolerance; dishonesty, disrespect and irresponsibility. That applied to human, plant and animal life. Ivars loved to laugh and was a great audience to my stupid jokes and I'll really miss that. Ausma will certainly miss their phone conversations in Latvian. He leaves a huge hole in our lives.

GrandpaWalking into grandma and grandpas house I could expect two things with grandpa. One he would be sitting in his chair watching a mariners game with a newspaper in his hand. Two he would be just shutting the slider door coming in from his garden. Either way I instantly was told how his day was going. Either mariners were losing (go figure) or grandma didnt put something back the right way or she lost her keys (again). On the other hand there were the good days when the mariners were winning and well grandma didnt screw up anything today. There were many great Christmas memories when we were younger. He would push us around in the huge boxes he kept for us during the year, later in the night we would fill them up with all the presents grandma and he had bought for us. O yeah just to point out for everyone, he is the only one who broke a crystal ornament off grandmas beautiful Christmas tree even though he was the one that was always reminding us to be careful around the tree. Back to his big blue chair that is imprinted in my memory, grandpa would sit and watch the news and always had the paper next to him on the coffee table. He always made comments on how stupid people are and what are they thinking, "they are all so stupids" he would exclaim. Once he was done with that I would hear stories about his commutes to the store how the construction on the roads put dings in his truck so he sent a letter to the company making them fix it. I will never forget the one morning when he offered to make me breakfast. As he was going to prepare the cheerios he shouted, "Hey you want some blue berries with that?" I though sure a couple blue berries would taste alright in my cereal. Well as you all know grandpa loved his blue berries and when I received my bowl at the table I couldnt see a single cheerio on the surface. My bowl was completely blue. I was like wow is there even milk in here?! Another great story I would hear from him was about his dad on the farm
