Obituary of Robert B. Gardner

Born in Seattle Oct. 23, 1917 and passed away on July 28, 2009. He is preceded in death by his parents, Agnes and Ransom Gardner; brother, Leonard; sister, Margaret McGinty; and beloved daughter Judy Hunter. Bob is survived by his wife of 62 years Kay; children, Robert Jr. (Janet), Kathy (Roger) Guiberson, Mary (Lance) Johnson, Maggie (Jon) Rider, Mark (Corinna), Patti (Fil) Gudmundson; and son-in-law, John Hunter; also survived by 16 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.His greatest love was family. More than anything, Dad enjoyed the time spent with his children and grandchildren. Music was also important to him and shaped his life, beginning with the army band he started during WWII, continuing with his career managing DECCA Records and stretching into his senior years playing piano with The Note-ables band at senior centers in the area.Dad We Always Loved You Best. We miss you!A Rosary will be said at 4 pm on Sunday, Aug. 2, 2009 at Becks Funeral Home, 405 Fifth Ave. S, Edmonds; 425-771-1234. A Memorial Mass will be held at 12 noon on Monday, Aug. 3, 2009 at St. Brendans Catholic Church, 10051 NE 195th St., Bothell; with Mausoleum service following at Holyrood Mausoleum in Shoreline.
