Obituary of Cecelia Geraldine Gifford

Geraldine Geri Gifford was born to Florian and Sofia Kloss on Nov. 22, 1910 in Buckman, MN; and was called home to be with the Lord on Sept. 10, 2009 in Tacoma, WA. Geri graduated from high school in Minneapolis, MN and moved to Seattle in 1936 where she met and married her husband, Giff, in 1939. She loved hunting and fishing with him. They owned and operated a dry cleaning business on 9th and Union; until uprooted by I-5 construction.She then did tailoring for Nordstrom and the Bon Marche in downtown Seattle until rietireing at the age of 75.Geri is survived by her sister, Terese Merriman.A Vigil service will be held Tues., Sept. 15 at 5 pm at Becks Funeral Home, 405 Fifth Ave. S in Edmonds; 425-771-1234; with the Funeral Mass to be held on Wed., Sept. 16, 11 a.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church, 322 N. 175th St., Shoreline.
