Obituary of Maxine Eleanor Jacobs

Maxine died peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her family in her home. She was preceded in death by her husband Albert Jacobs.Max was born and raised in Ballard. She met the love of her life, Al, while working at Sears Roebuck Co. They married on April 4, 1942 and had 65 years of happiness together. Theirs was a true love story like no other. Maxine was a devoted parishioner of Lake City Christian Church in Seattle for over 50 years. She loved to dance, read and travel. Al and Max had a great circle of friendsThe Wednesday Nighters that have been meeting for cocktails and dinner most Wednesdays for many years. She was so full of life and had a kind word to say about everyone.She is survived by her daughter Cheryl, and her husband Jerry; four grandchildren, Allen (Terri), Eric (Stacy), Geoff (Robin) and Norma (Scott); 16 great grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandsons. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and close friends.A gathering of friends and family to celebrate her life will be on Saturday, Oct 3rd at 11:00 a.m. at Lake City Christian Church, 1933 NE 125th in Seattle.It was Maxines request that memorials be given to Lake City Christian Church or Providence Hospice of Snohomish County.
