Obituary of Dorothy Jean Neilson

Dorothy Jean Neilson was born in Hansen, ID to Clyde and Ruth Walker, the second of six children. A 1948 graduate of the University of Washington, each new day was an adventure for her, whether it entailed attending or teaching a Bible study, gardening, teaching piano, tennis, travel, mountain hikes, boating, or entertaining lavishly. She was the beloved wife of Donald Neilson for 61 years, and the loving mother of Daniel Neilson, Wendy (Glenn) Werner, and Aldryth (Brian) OHara. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Nathanael (Nicole) OHara, Drew (Jenn) OHara, Shane (Rosie) OHara, Alanna OHara, Paul Werner, Sam Werner; one great-grandchild, Juliette OHara; and her brothers Bruce (Joanne) Walker and Wayne Walker. p A Memorial Service will be held at University Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at 1:30pm.
