Obituary of Donald Mark Schoon

Mark Schoon passed away at home with his loving wife by his side Monday, August 31 st . Mark is survived by his wife Alisa, daughter Shauna and two brothers; Phil (Lisa) and Steve (Ruth) as well as many nieces and nephews. Born August 20 th 1950 in Gary, Indiana he grew up in Highland, IN where he learned the automotive repair trade while working at his Fathers, Robert Bud Schoons body shop. Mark graduated from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI in 1973. He lived briefly in Michigan and Arizona before moving to Washington in the 80s where he purchased his first body shop (Moores) in November of 1982. Marks ambition and dedication to mentor others drove him to build upon his legacy to four body shops (Professional Collision Car Craft, Mukilteo and Lynnwood) by 2000. He loved to read and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was always generous, willing to lend a helping hand to others and always had words of wisdom for anyone in need. Mark will forever be remembered as an extraordinary husband, a father figure and mentor by all who were lucky enough to have had their lives touched by him. He was preceded in death by his Father; Robert Schoon, Mother; Pearl Schoon and brothers; Paul and Bob. His memorial service will be held at Advent Lutheran Church, 4306 132 nd St. SE, Snohomish, WA 98296 on Saturday, September 12 th at 1:00pm.
