Obituary of Gail Thomas Carter

Gail was born in Portland , OR July 22, 1931 . Youngest of five, he is survived by his sister, Merle Schwitter. He was married 57 plus years and is survived by the love of his life, Claire. Together they raised three daughters; Shannon Dewey, Tammy (Peter) Moll, Leslie (Chris) Griffith. He was the proud grandfather of six grandchildren: Ryan (Rachael) Dewey, Melissa (Ryan) Zdenek, Brianna (Ryan Black) Griffith, David Ridenour, Josh Griffith, and Megan Ridenour; and blessed with four great-grandchildren: Trent, Kaden, Payton and Gracie. Family, Friends and Faith were the foundation of his life. He taught us by example and conducted his life at all times with the utmost of integrity. His life exemplied living by the Golden Rule. Gail was a proud Irishman, an avid golfer and friend to everyone he met. Gail was an original charter member, of Mill Creek Country Club. We are all better for having known and loved him. A Rosary will be held 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 11, 2009 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, 2316 180 th St. SE, Bothell; with Funeral Mass to begin at 11:15 a.m. Interment will follow at Holyrood Catholic Cemetery in Shoreline. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be given in his name to Puget Sound Kidney Centers, 1005 Pacific Ave. , Everett , WA 98201 .
