Obituary of James William Laurine

Jim was born in Seattle at the family home in Ballard and was a graduate of Ballard HS 1937. Jim attended Wenatchee Junior College and St. Marys College for flight training while serving in the Navy. A 55-year resident of Edmonds, Jim passed away with family at his bedside. Jim is survived by his wife of 59 years, Marge, sons Marty and Mike, daughter-in-law Carolyn and grandchildren, Alli and Jamie Laurine. Jim was a fixture in Seattle at The Dog House restaurant from 1949-1982 and was known as the Astute Bartender. Jim loved golf and was a junior member at Olympic GCC after WWII and later played many rounds in Everett and Lynnwood until his health waned. Jims kind nature and great sense of humor afforded him many friends and much laughter. In lieu of flowers, the family requests remembrances may be given to the American Heart Association or the Northwest Kidney Foundation.
