KP - thanks for always sharing your knowledge generously, you are a fantastic teacher and leader. I smile everytime I think about you juggling those little red beanbags and all the fancy juggling tricks you could do. I will always remember and admire you.

Ken, you taught me so much about law, life and friendship. I will forever remember your "Brain Storming" sessions with Bob in your office and your excitement with a job well done. Popcorn stinking up the whole 41st floor with the burnt smell and swearing you didn't burn it. I never had to fight anyone over the Special Dark chocolate bars till I met you. I will always smile a little when I eat popcorn and dark chocolate and think of you. Most of all thank you for believing in me! I will miss u!

Ken and I had many wonderful times together growing up in Michigan. (We were born seven weeks apart . . . knew each other since the diaper days!) Ken was a great man with many admirable qualities. I have always been proud to be his cousin.

The Petty family has many, many first cousins. I am the first. Ken was always at the top of my list for the most accomplished. I admired his enthusiasm to strive for the best. I will always remember his kindness to my son Todd while he attended law school in Minnesota. Ken may have lived far away from me but he was always close to my heart.Eternal memory

I'll always remember those camping trips on the "Stilly" and of course the infamous fly-fishing trip to Kegan Cove.Of all the stories we'll tell and never quite tire,The funniest is surely Ken's (Hintz) dance by the fire. So, til next time when another mission begins,We'll all think of this one and smile big grins!

A long time ago I worked for Ken. He was brilliant and I enjoyed playing an occasional trick on him. He was such a perfectionist and it showed in the way he lived his life. Not easy to work for, but never expected more than what he would do. He was absolutely a good listener and one of the fairest people I know. Rest in peace and painfree Ken. Mae

Where do I start? I've known Ken since school in Fraser, Michigan. Should I mention the time he beat me in high huddles by .03 seconds? Or maybe the time we carpeted the inside of his new 1974 Dodge van in the driveway at the Masonic house in Michigan? Or the day I took him to Rabbideaux Creek north of Wasilla, Alaska and he slugged a monster silver salmon? And I have to mention that he, Peggy, DB and I spent the day in Mud Bay on Whidbey Island, beached in a sailboat. Adios brother!

Ken was my friend 30 years ago. We met the first year of law school. He was impertable in the sea of anxiety. He was the master of the drift boat on the Toutle before the great eruption. He did so many things well-a true renaissance man. He had a wonderful sense of humor and so enjoyed life. He really made it possible for me to get to know Lois, the love of my life. He will be missed.Mike

Sorry to learn of Ken's death. I met him in the early 1980s when I represented plaintiffs in the early stages of the asbestos litigation. I spent a lot of time in rooms filled with defense lawyers and he is one of the ones I remember.

Ken was a good friend. I met Ken in 1973, as he came into my Aero Staff group at Boeing. He soon discovered people around him with 15 years of experience were being laid off at Boeing, decided that was not for him, and thus went back to school to get his law degree. I had many wonderful trips with him for steelhead in his drift boat, and he taught me a lot about those elusive fish. He was a good friend, and I will miss him. May God bless Peggy and the kids and give them peace.

Ken was the "adult" that all of us wanted to be -- in our 20's he was the first to buy a house, first to get a good job, first to change directions, first to find true love and stick with it. And through all of these firsts he was full of life, enthusiasm and confidence, and willing to share it all with his friends and associates. He'll always be a role model for me... of the possibilities of a well-lived life. DB (Deborah Brooks)

My cousin Ken visited MN each year while I was in law school. Each time he contacted me in advance so we could have dinner while he was in town. Ken showed me a lot of encouragement in those days. Spending even a short amount of time with him provided a lot of inspiration. He was one of those rare people who instilled confidence in all who knew him. He was passionate about the roles he played in life and he played them well: husband, father, professional, role model and friend. Thank you Ken.

One of hundreds...KP had Lauren on his lap at his desk, her back to his chest. His hand across her midsection, just the right place and pressure for loving safety. She had his thumb in her mouth, working it like a pacifier. KP in serious asbestos negotiations, free hand making notes, head cocked to keep the handset in place. Seated across the desk, I'm doing what he gave me the chance to do 1988-1997: learn from/about KP. I am better in EVER way because this fisher-of-men decided to catch me.

I found out today that KP "had taken a walk in the forest". This is a S.E AK Native way of saying "so long and good luck in your continuing journey". My continuing memory of him was and is of his "mission" to get the big one that got away. The halibut that straightened out a 200# test snap swivel in the deep waters off of POW Island, of S.E. AK in 1985. I'm not sure if he ever satisfied his need, but he's free to hunt that "barn door" forever now. YO, Good luck!

Kenneth was my first cousin. As young children i spent many a night at his house. We would wrestle. He was a big Detroit Tiger fan,his 2 favorite players were Al Kaline & Dick McCAuliff. He had memorized all the Tigers batting averages.I liked the new Rock & Roll music, and he'd tease me that i liked Jazz. He and his family were in attendance of my sisters wedding November 4,1961. I was best man, gave my sister away, because my Dad had just passed on the previous April. The altar boy got sick so i was altar boy too. When it came time for me to ring the bells the whole congregation heard him say MAMA MAMA GOOD HUMOR MAN. May he rest in peace Safe in the arms of Jesus.

I was a billing specialist for Ken petty for 10 plus at williams, kastner & Gibbs and i am deeply saddened to hear he has passed. Ken was a wonderful man and I was very young when I started working for and I learned from all i worked and they a huge part of who I am today. As Ken no matter how big and time consuming of task that was needed for his clients, he wouldn't wanted me to seek the challenge and if i could i would there and my having finally pass his billing to another billing specialist because the requirement were beyond and i am sing in memory and thankfulness that and the members believed In me and my abilities to do all and unfortunately only a couple months before I left the lawfirm due to medical reasons, I was forced to train Misty Willits to do his billing. I was so sad and really wanted to pull it off as he so insisted i could. I believe he is an amazing angel watching over peggy, who is the best and 3 children and the his family. i am thankful my years of opportunity to have been so lucky and worked for ken. God bless and love, hugs to peggy and kids. I am so sorry peggy for your loss. Melissa
