Obituary of Florence Marie Patneaude

m ; Despite exceptional care, Florence passed away at Everetts Providence Hospital on July 15, 2009. She is reunited with her husband Mervin (Pat), her grandson Rob, her great granddaughter Erin, and her brothers Rob and Rich, who all left her far too early. Born on August 12, 1917, in St. Paul, Minnesota, she moved to Seattle with Pat in 1950. Her family-her world-would eventually expand to include seven children: Mike (Betty), Dave (Judy), Susan Goodson (Warren), Rick (Debbie), Kathy Kinsman (Jack), Jim (Mary), and Mark (Ann); twenty grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren. Big numbers, but she never forgot a birthday. She is also survived by her sister Marie, her sister-in-law Esther, and numerous nieces and nephews. After Pats untimely death Florence was employed as an instructional assistant, insurance company correspondent, and records specialist. After retiring from the Darigold Corporation in 1983, she worked as a caregiver. A voracious reader, she never lost her appreciation for a well-written tale. She loved bird watching, attending the annual family gathering at Spectacle Lake in the Okanogan hills, and visiting her Minnesota relatives. She was a long-time member of St. Luke Parish, where she was president of the Mothers Club and active in school and parish activities (especially bingo). Later she attended Holy Rosary (Edmonds) and St. Pius Churches. A Mass will be held in her honor at Holy Rosary Church, 630 7 th Ave N, Edmonds, on Wednesday, July 22, at 11:00. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Childrens Hospital and Medical Center in her name.
