Grannie, thanks so much for the unquestioned love my whole life. You inspire me to appreciate and love family, friends, travel, and to always make sure I have a decent pair of shoes. I love you and miss you every day.

Sitting on the dock fishing at the lake, roasting marshmellows over the campfire - spending time with family & friends. She always made you feel welcome and that it was important that you were there to spend time together. Her love of life and joy in sharing her life with others made her a very special person and I feel blessed to have been able to call her my friend. You will be truly missed,Char Dykes

At a kid, Auntie Deen and Uncle Ed took me to Granpa's ranch to harvest hay. After the day was over, we all went down to the river to "swim" and get the hay off. I will never forget wearing a wool swimsuit borrowed from Ed.We did roast marshmellows to make "Deenburgers"at the lake. As a growing teenager, Ed made me put a dime on the table to make up for how much I ate. Deen always slipped it back to me later. Everyone knew what was happening and it was a family joke.
