Obituary of Angela M. Davies

Angela was born in Wenatchee, WA on December 16, 1931. She lived in Shoreline, WA for most of her life and died on March 20, 2009, after a long battle with Alzheimers disease. She was born TO Edward A. and Marjorie M. Strutzel, long time orchardists in Monitor, WA, where Angela spent many happy days of her childhood playing in the orchard. She graduated from Cashmere High School in 1950, after which she attended Wenatchee Valley Junior College. She moved to Seattle in 1952 where she was employed at General Insurance Company. In December 1954, she met John R. Davies and they were married on February 17, 1956. Angela was one of the original soccer moms, a Campfire Girl Leader, a home room mom, and a member of the Stevens Hospital Auxiliary. Her hobbies included traveling, skiing and spending time at the family cabin ON Whidbey Island. Angela was truly one of a kind, with an open and loving heart, always smiling and uplifting everyone around her. She was known for her caring, sweet, personality and her concern for family and friends putting others needs ahead of her own was the way she lived her life. She will be greatly missed and is survived by her husband of 53 years, John of Shoreline, WA; her daughters; Jennifer Redinger (Terry) of Snohomish, WA; Kim McKisson (Dan) of Shoreline, WA; her son, Dan Davies of Edmonds, WA; and her three grandchildren: Cole and Analise McKisson and Danica Redinger. Angela is also survived by her three siblings: her sister, Marlene Farquar of Wenatchee, her brother Joe Strutzel of Monitor and brother, Frazier Strutzel of Wenatchee as well as eight nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fisher Center for Alzheimers Research Foundation.
