Obituary of Raymond Theophil DeDonker

Buck passed away peacefully at the age of 80 surrounded by his family who loved him dearly. He was born September 15, 1928 in Everett, Washington and died November 17, 2008. As a young man Buck served in the Marine Corps, based out of San Diego. He went on to be a successful business owner of Delmar Painting Company for 30 years. A devout Catholic, Buck served on numerous church and school committees at St. Brendans church. He was a very generous man, supporting many charitable organizations and helping those in need throughout his life. He was married 56 years to his loving wife Mary who took wonderful care of him, especially in the past five years while Buck faced Alzheimers and a reoccurrence of cancer. He was the most loving father to his four children, Michelle Oaksmith (Steve), Terri Kepler (Jerry), Sandy Baptie (Ken), and Mike DeDonker (Candi). Buck was also blessed with twelve beautiful grandchildren and four great grandchildren who all adored their Papa. Buck loved life and lived it to the fullest every day! CamanoIsland and Palm Springs were his favorite getaways. He loved children, always extending his hand with a warm smile and hello. Bucks claim to fame was dancing he was the best! He and Mary even won a dance contest several years ago. Every Sunday, Buck loved going to church with Mary and never let a day go by without saying what a wonderful life God had blessed him with. Loved by everyone, Buck has touched many people in his life. He was a gentleman and role model to every person he knew. His family and friends will miss him deeply, but will always remember his compassionate blue eyes, contagious smile, kind words, and loving heart. In lieu of flowers, please reach out to someone in need. That is what Buck would have wanted.
