Obituary of Lawrence Oliver White

Lawrence White 10/4/19243/20/2009 Larry was born in Kalispell , Montana to Herbert and Emma White. He served in the Army and was stationed in Germany where he met his beloved wife, Elly. They were married on June 14, 1947 and spent over 60 wonderful years together. After retiring from the Seattle PI, Larry and Elly traveled extensively in their motor home; snowbirding to Arizona in the winter and traveling around the United States . They also enjoyed their cruise ship vacations and tours throughout Europe where they made many new friends. Dad loved to fish, read mysteries, play cards, and visit the local casinos to deposit his money. He truly enjoyed telling stories and spending time with family and friends as well as volunteering at the Lynnwood Food Bank. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 60 years, Elly in 2008 and his grandson Gavin in 2009. He is survived by his children: Linda (Robert) Moshell, Candy (Craig) Peterson, Larry (Michelle) White, and four grandchildren. A Memorial service will be held at Becks Funeral Home, 405 Fifth Ave. S , Edmonds , (425) 771-1234 at 1 p.m. on April 18, 2009 . Remembrances can be made to the Lynnwood Food Bank.
