Obituary of Lucille Marie Pierson

Lucille Marie Pierson passed away on to Oct. 13, 2008. She was born the only child of Mary and Karl Klug on December 28, 1920, in Bemidji, MN. Most of her childhood and early adult life she lived in Coeur d Alene, ID where she married her childhood sweetheart, Wilford (Bill) Pierson in 1940. They moved to Seattle in 1946. Her long awaited first child was born in 1948 and she was blessed with 2 more sons and a daughter in the following 10 years. The joys of Lucilles life were her family, volunteering at St. Lukes parish, and serving the communities where she resided. Her service to others was cherished in the communities of Westover (Seattle), Spokane, Richmond Beach, and Lake Goodwin. She enjoyed her many lady friends at her pinnacle club and church. Lucille was known for her lovely created flower arrangements and decorating flair. Her creative artistry was often displayed and shared with others. She was known for decorating every life activity from church spaghetti dinners to every special occasion at home, including St. Patrick Day. Her other passions including being the best hostess for many elegant formal dinners to huge lamb and pig barbecues at Lake Goodwin that drew 100s of friends and family. She is survived by her 4 children and their spouses: Ken Ann Pierson, Scott Bonnie Pierson, Ward Pierson, and Tamara Pierson Olhava. Her grandchildren: Erica Pierson, James Pierson, Kristy Pierce and husband Kyle, Michael Olhava Jr., and Amara Olhava. Rosary Service will be held at 7:00 pm Thursday, Oct. 23, at Becks Funeral Home, 405 5th Ave S, Edmonds, 425-771-1234. Her Funeral Service is 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 24 at St. Lukes Catholic Church, 322 N 175th St, Shoreline. Memorials to Alhezeimers Association, 12721 30th NE, Seattle, WA 98125 and Providence General Foundation Funds in Everett, WA.
