Obituary of Emily Joy Christensen

Emily Joy Christensen was born February 7th, 1997, in Edmonds, WA to Andrew and Karen Christensen. Emily was the second child, with 4 siblings whom she loved wholeheartedly: Liz, Tyler, Rebecca, and Rachel. Passionately joyful servant: this is how Emily was known to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She had an enthusiasm for life that was evident in everything she did, whether she was playing board games or ice hockey with family, leading the children’s church choir, or exploring new places with friends. Emily was always the first to jump in with a gentle helping hand, and she cheerfully cared for many injuries with sweet tenderness. Love poured out of her big heart into everyone around her. Her biggest love, however, was always first and foremost her Savior. Even as a little girl, Emily’s love for Jesus shone throughout her life. She was passionate about telling the world about the Lord, and she left no one out. Emily’s life was a ministry to everyone she knew. She loved to teach the children at church, serve meals to the homeless, care for her patients, sing with her siblings, and help out in any way she could. To be loved by Emily was to know the love of her Savior through her. We will greatly miss our sweet Emily Joy.
