Heather Strom

Obituary of Heather Elizabeth Strom

Heather left us on the morning of March 20th, 2023. She was born in Seattle, Washington on February 27th, 1972 to Ron Strom and Becky Muir.

She graduated Edmonds High School in 1990, and went on to study at the Culinary Program at the Arts Institute of Seattle.  Here is where she fell in love with cooking, which continued through her whole life.  She was brilliant in the kitchen and created her signature Caesar Salad Dressing.  In her early days, she loved skiing, the beach (especially Mexico), and watching Hockey.  Just last year, her son Parker planned a very complicated excursion to take them to a Seattle Kraken game at Climate Pledge Arena.  It was the highlight of her life, and she was so happy to be able to watch a game in person with Parker.  Let’s also not forget to recognize her love of “partying” with her many friends. She loved to spend time with her friends, and listen to live music.

Heather was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in her early 20’s.  Although this diagnosis was terrible news, she faced it bravely and with her quirky sense of humor.

She was beautiful, spirited, adventurous and lit up every room that she entered. She adored her son Parker and her 2 American Bulldogs, Marklar and Stotch.

Heather is survived by her son Parker Strom, mother Becky Muir, siblings Megan (Dan) Martin, Mitchell (Brenda) Muir and five nieces and nephews (Betty, Lily, Jaiden, Jameson and Chase).  She is preceded in death by her father Ron Strom, stepfather Rick Muir, and grandmother Betty Backes.

There will be a Celebration of Life in Edmonds.
