Obituary of Rodney Lionel Dennison

On August 29, 2023, Rodney Lionel Dennison peacefully took his final breath at home in Bothell, Washington, surrounded by his loving family.

Philip and Margaret Dennison gave birth to Rod on February 19, 1932, in Denver, Colorado.  Rod’s family included his sister, Inez, and younger brother, Phil, who predeceased him.  He grew up in Seattle, graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1950 and Seattle University in 1954.  Rod served in the Army in active duty from 1954-1956.

Rod married his true love Madeleine Frances ("Frankie") Bergmann, January 29, 1955, at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Seattle and became active members of the parish.  To support his growing family Rod obtained management positions in retail.  During his career he worked for a variety of retailers.

Rod is survived by his devoted wife of 68 years, Madeleine "Frankie" Dennison; their six children, Gennyn Dennison (Jim Knight), Catherine Dennison Santi, John Dennison (Shala Brandolini), Jeffrey Dennison, Martin Dennison (Sook), and Mary Suhadolnik (Matt); 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.  His family was everything to him. Rod will be tremendously missed, especially his broad smile and infectious laugh.
