Obituary of Paul Hugh Johnson, Jr.

Paul H. Johnson, 88, passed away peacefully Monday, October 30, 2023 at Swedish Hospital, Edmonds, WA.

In 1965, after receiving his Master’s in Education from Baylor University, Paul and family relocated to Pine Bush, NY where he lived for 58 years.  Paul taught chemistry in Goshen High School for many years before opening the Iron Age Gym in Middletown, NY.  He later developed Iron Age Fitness where he manufactured and sold exercise equipment. 

Paul and his wife, Irene, had just recently moved to Brier, Washington.

Paul is survived by his wife Irene of 67 years, 3 sons: Paul (Patty), Patrick and Philip (LeNora); three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Services will be private.  Paul will be interred in Tahoma National cemetery in Kent, WA. The family will hold a Celebration of Life on Thursday November 2, 2023.
