Uncle Albert was always kind, loving and steadfast. A calm and joyful man who helped us all, and often did the jobs that others didn't want to do or couldn't...like at all of the family gatherings it was always Uncle Albert in the kitchen helping get the dinner on the table, especially when carving the turkey with his special twinkle and panache! A dear uncle and a strong, kind man!

I'll always remember Uncle Al as having a smile that warmed your heart, a laugh that was contagious and a bearing which was always straight, neat and, most of all, welcoming. In his quiet, unassuming way, he conveyed his absolute devotion and love for his wife and girls. I think we were all so blessed to have him in our lives and I'll never think of him with anything but that really big smile!

You know you have been a wonderful parent, when the children and grandchildren still want to come home. We will meet again soon, and I know God needed you for something great and special. Your family will be cared for until the final days.

He taught my husband, who is very much NOT mechanically inclined! how to maintain an old boiler (source of all heat for the complex) at an Edmonds elementary school. This is a testament to Albert's patience, ability to teach, and his sense of humor!!

My dad gave me so many memories I will treasure, his love of animals, traveling, and just laughing at silly stuff. He would always give me his time. I know for me the first person I would always want to call was my dad if I didn't know what to do or just want to share something with. He was such a good listner. He would come and help me anytime I needed him. Just sitting with him and talking would bring me joy. I will miss the time we shared together so much, but hold on to him forever in my hear

Uncle Al was very special to me. As a child I idolized him so much I took his name in conformation. Throughout my life I have always wished to be more like him. The memory of his "forever" smile, gentle ways and reverent spirit will be with me for the rest of my days. Surely, God has reserved a very special place for him in heaven.Rick DoveNew Bern, NC
