One memory I have is when Dennis, my grandma Teako and I drove down to Sliver City. I was in collage and Dennis wanted to show us where he worked. I just remember the drive being very far and I fell asleep in the back of the car. When I awoke we were deep in the mountains and came to a huge hole in the ground. Dennis took us down a switch back road and other vehicles were coming and going. Big truck and equipment I felt very much out of place in the small car but Dennis assured us "ahh sure it's fine we go." He knew what he was doing. He took us right down to the bottom and we parked next to a HUGE dump tuck. I had never seen something so huge. I couldn't reach the top of the tire. Dennis then explained alot about how he worked in the machine shop and fixed trucks like these all the time. I was amazed. He told about going up and down the mine shaft and how people were deep under us. A man came up to us and Dennis and him talked for a bit. They shook hands and we all got back in the car and went back up the switchback road. I have a greater understanding of the world thanks to Dennis and I am forever greatful.

Dennis was a wonderful person. We though of him often when he had to go to WA. But we understoid it was for his own good and I hope he had lots of good times up there. We are extremely grateful for all the times he shared with us. He was always happy to see us and his laughter was hardy and true. Yup.
